Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTPs) are trained to identify dysfunction in the body and address the root cause of imbalances through nutrition and lifestyle suggestions, while respecting the bio-individuality of each person. FNTPs are equipped to support the body's innate ability to heal by addressing the importance of nutrient-dense food, anatomy and physiology, lifestyle choices, culinary wellness, client coaching, and how social and personal components influence health.
FNTP's have gone through extensive training to learn a hands-on skillset called the Functional Clinical Assessment (FCA) that allows them to evaluate the nutritional imbalances and deficiencies at both the body system and organ level that are unique to a specific client and create a tailored set of recommendations designed to support that client’s wellness goals.

Step 1: Schedule a free 20-minute discovery call to see if we are a good fit for one another.
Step 2: We will have a 60-90 minute initial consultation to do an in-depth assessment of your health history, symptom analysis, and health priorities. Prior to this call you will fill out a NAQ (nutritional analysis questionnaire) and a food journal. On the call we will fill in the gaps and address your questions and concerns.
Step 3: We will meet again to give you a foundational protocol with nutritional and lifestyle recommendations, and an initial supplement plan. We usually start with some nutrition suggestions, lifestyle, and stress management habits, along with supplements to work on cellular-level support to get the body ready for deeper healing.
Step 4: We’ll meet again to review the foundational protocol. Based on any changes in symptoms and how you are feeling, I’ll recommend an updated protocol or a roadmap that we will follow for the duration of the time we will work together to alleviate your symptoms and find and target the root causes of the dysfunction in your body so that you feel better. This usually involves working on sources of inflammation and supporting the body, tissues, and organs. We will continue nutrition tools, supplements, lifestyle, and stress management tools if needed. If there are additional needs to support your healing that are outside of my scope of practice, I will refer out.
Because everyone moves at a different pace, the number of sessions and the frequency between them are customized to you. Typically we meet about every 4-6 weeks. I want you to feel motivated, energized, and committed to each follow-up session. We will continue to meet as necessary to check in, review your protocol, and make adjustments.
You can expect to work consistently and diligently for at least 3-6 months and often a year or longer depending on your situation. This process is not a quick fix. You may begin to feel better right away, but habit change and healing can take time. Do not get discouraged! While the journey may be long, it is very rewarding. After our initial package, you can purchase additional sessions via a la carte sessions.
